Mainland China has come up with another trick.

Recently, there have been media reports that developers have reduced the prices of properties during the May Day period, resulting in fines from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and a notification that this action disrupts the market.

So, on one hand, they keep saying that they want the common people to be able to afford housing, but on the other hand, they don't allow price reductions. I wonder if this inconsistency is a manifestation of their true intentions? As a result, the credibility of the government has been greatly discounted in the eyes of the people in the past year or two, and the lack of trust in the government is becoming a new trend among the public. And all of this seems to be closely related to the actions of some officials in power.

For example, Tesla publicly reduced prices, but in the end, due to a document from the Beijing Daily, Tesla had to raise prices. So, is the goal to make housing affordable for the common people or not? This is a question.

In mainland China, the average monthly expenditure is 80% of income, equivalent to a monthly income of 5000 yuan. Almost 70% of that is used to repay loans, including housing loans and car loans, leaving only 30% for daily expenses. Just think, with 5000 yuan, 3500 yuan is paid to the bank every month. 1500 yuan is left for daily living. So, is 1500 yuan enough to live on? No, it's not enough. If you work outside, assuming the minimum rent is 500 yuan, you have 1000 yuan left. What can you do with this 1000 yuan? It may be gone in less than half a month. If you get sick, you will have to rely on online loans for consumption, day after day, year after year. Although the common people work every year, they always have loans that cannot be fully repaid. Therefore, for young people, it is simply impossible to get married and buy a house because they have to spend at least 10% more than their monthly income, and this 10% is still a loan. With a monthly salary of 5000 yuan, they have to borrow 1000 yuan from online loans every month to maintain basic living. In this way, even normal life is difficult, not to mention buying a house and getting married. If you exclude loan repayments, a person's normal life, living frugally, would still require at least 2000 or 3000 yuan in expenses each month. Saving 40,000 yuan in a year is not even possible, and in 20 years, it would only be 800,000 yuan. During these 20 years, there can be no accidents, such as serious illness or unexpected events. If they occur, there will be no source of income during that time.

Therefore, in mainland China, deceptive measures have been coming out year after year, such as the one-child policy. Now they are promoting having a second child or even a third child. What is the meaning of having a third child when you can't even solve the basic problems of the people? How can you have the courage to ask the people to have three children for you? In the eyes of the government, the people have become machines for their own advancement, but the young people nowadays don't believe, don't listen, and are indifferent. These politicians cannot control them. Therefore, encouraging people to have children is impossible when the people can't even feel a sense of security.

Reducing the burden is not just about cracking down on extracurricular training. It needs to be fundamentally solved. The problem lies in the education system. If there were no problems with the education system, where would extracurricular training come from? Therefore, all actions involving the use of power are not the fundamental way to promote economic development, but rather to allow the people to make their own decisions about their livelihoods. The government's job is to rectify its own system, the education system, the healthcare system, and the labor system. Speaking of the people's autonomy, for example, in rural areas, the people have the autonomy to use their own homestead without the intervention of government departments. The government has the obligation to guide farming, but not the power to control farmers' farming. Therefore, lowering housing prices, increasing people's income, and encouraging self-reliance among the people should not be restricted by rigid rules. Instead, guidance should be provided to activate the people's autonomy. The role of government departments should be to safeguard the interests of the people and strike a balance between commerce and the public, rather than focusing solely on the capitalization of the economy.
